Getting in the Christmas mood – London Christmas Windows.
I loved being in London last weekend seeing all the London Christmas Windows. It really gets you in the festive mood from the elaborate Fortnum and Mason windows through to Joseph’s minimalist windows they are each and everyone as inspiring. Personally I love both a over-the-top Christmas and a Minimalist one = Most of us just love everything Christmas in the Natasha Marshall studio!
Space inspired Christmas windows is that their link to being Star Wars inspired?…..
A lot of Christmas windows this year had a space inspired Christmas is this because of the release of Star Wars this week, so excited?! The Conran Shop and a little gift shop in Kensington had used Tintin as their focus which looked stunning.
The colourful windows…
It is such inspiring time of year to look at windows with all the array of colours mixing. Joseph’s were very striking with the Rose or Black & White dresses with the red squares on the windows which are very on trend through to Sella McCartney’s Christmas wonderland lighting mixing with the geometric floor and wall patterns.
Winning windows for me Fortnum and Mason……
The Fortnum and Mason windows were magical and such a treat to see. You could look at them for hours as there was so much detail. Great for selling product as much as each being a stunning window full of delights.
Running in Hyde Park.
I am doing Marcothon this year which is a 25 minute run everyday of December, yes including Christmas day! Running in London’s Hyde Park was stunning last weekend and I loved photographing all the Christmas windows on my walk back each morning! I also went past The National History Museum which looked like a winter wonderland with the ice skating rink in front.
Traditional themed windows through to minimalist Christmas windows….
The different styles of windows is what makes it so magical to walk around Knightsbridge and South Kensington at this time of year. Looking through some of the photos we have shared do let us know your favourites or share your favourite Christmas window photos with us.
Skandium is one of my favourite shops in London.
I love shopping in Skandium and their Christmas windows were beautiful and full of many of my favourite items at home! Their choice of Scandinavian home items is stunning and makes for a delightful shopping experience.
Street lights and Christmas fun fairs….
Leicester Square had a old fashioned fun fair on that looked great fun by night as we walked along to The Wolseley for a wonderful dinner with family. We walked from Covent Garden where we had watched the amazing War Horse through to Piccadilly.
We hope you have enjoyed seeing all these windows and it has also put you in a festive mood! Have a great Christmas and best wishes for 2016…….
