Colour inspiration in Plockton

Wow what a wonderful weekend full of colour inspiration in Plockton. The light in Plockton is always beautiful what ever the weather. The greys, yellows, oranges mixed with blacks will be very inspiring to work from for new fabric and wallpaper designs. Plus the trees in the mists create beautiful layers to inspire new patterns.

It was a really special place to spend time with friends at the weekend, celebrating a friends 40th. The party was a ceilidh in the town hall which was great fun. Plus we had a few beautiful walks in-between the rain! We were then treated to a stunning rainbow across the bay.

It is a four and half hour drive from Glasgow to Plockton, but it is worth it, as it is a magical place to spend time. Two of my other favourite places near by that we also love going to are Gairloch and Skye. I was talking on the way home with Neil saying that I really want to book a holiday in Skye staying in a Dualchas House this summer – these two look amazing The Shed or Ancala. The simplicity of the Dualchas architecture really suits the landscape.
