Creating the Natasha Marshall stand design for Decorex 2015.
From start to finish see the Natasha Marshall stand design for Decorex International 2015 evolve. Behind the scenes images – For the Natasha Marshall stand we created the stand in CAD so each of the pieces could be made off-site by joiners ready to bolt together at Decorex. Having the stand designed in CAD it then allows you to plan where each fabric goes, so the setting up of the stand is much quicker and the overall finished look is exactly what you wanted!
There was one challenge though – a post in the centre of the facial board that had not been shown on the drawings supplied by the show, but by moving it to one side we worked round this obstacle!
Colour trends for Decorex 2015.
We designed the colour story for the stand using our Alegre, Ikon, Alibi and Tandem collections. To create the colour-story we lay out all the fabrics and the key wallpaper we wanted to show so we could check it would have the overall appearance we are looking to create.
For Decorex we focused on our colours nightshade, cactus, misty blue, sea fog and feather grey. We have all gone green mad in the studio so Shoot Cactus wallpaper was our starting point and then choose what fabrics worked with this theme. These jewel tones are on trend and work beautifully with navy. Our navy, we call nightshade, is a lovely soft tone to work with in interiors and had a great response at the show as well as Drift nightshade being our most sampled fabric last week.

Start to finish images – Natasha Marshall Decorex stand
We think you will agree that the finished stand looks just like the CAD drawing and comes to life with all the pattern and colour added. The stand and floor were all made in plywood which is a great backdrop for our natural fibre fabrics and wallcoverings. To top it off we also always make NM bags of sweets for customers when they come to the stand! We had a superb show and we are delighted to be back selling our studio collections. We met with people from all around the world at the show and look forward to keeping you all updated on all our news – a very exciting 4 days and makes all the planning worth while.
