The duo behind the Natasha Marshall Design Studio, Natasha and Neil Fullerton, met whilst studying at Glasgow School Of Art. After graduating in printed and knitted textiles, graphic design and electronic imaging they set up in business together in 1997 as Squigee Limited, with a loan from the Princes Scottish Youth Business Trust, the Craft Council and Glasgow City Council.
They have been printing, weaving fabrics and wallpapers spanning 20 years together creating collections for many leading brands in the interior industry in the UK and Europe. These ranges have been sold worldwide into sectors including retail, hotel, cruise, restaurants and healthcare. The team at Natasha Marshall pride themselves in supplying fabrics that are both beautifully designed and coloured as well as technically suitable for each sector.
While building their own home, which involved renovating a derelict furniture manufacturer’s warehouse in Glasgow they knew it was time to create fabrics they would love to live with in their own interiors. ‘We wanted simple geometric designs which were timeless and didn’t detract from the architectural space we had created with our architects but instead complemented it. We were inspired to create a relaxed and happy space with the flair of modern design’. March 2015 saw the launch of the Natasha Marshall studio fabric collections Alegre, Ikon and Alibi, followed by a wallpaper collection Tandem. The designs are iconic and the use of texture and colour in our fabrics, wallpapers, cushions and home products create a beautiful, fun loving, bright but calm modern interior with simple elegant designs.
As a brand we showcase the best of British design, printing and manufacturing. We design the collections in our Glasgow studio and wherever possible source and manufacture the fabric and wallpapers within the UK, using local suppliers for our cushions and home accessory products and our simple geometric designs are becoming increasingly recognized within the interiors sector.
Stocks of our collections are held in Glasgow so that orders and samples can be dispatched daily. We aim to provide excellent customer service with no minimum order quantities and prompt order fulfillment which is already recognised by our customers.
Natasha is passionate about helping young people start up in business, is on the Princes Trust Scottish Council and a Board member of The Scottish Textile & Leather Association. She is also an active member in the Entrepreneurial Scotland Network.
